Peng Xu

Biographical Note
Professor Xu has an extensive background in international law and trade, the World Trade Organization, and in the Shanghai region of China, where she served in local government. A visting scholar on the recommendation of the French Consulate, Xu conducted PhD research at the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherles Internationales et Communautaries. She is the author of numerous publications including "Judicial Lawmaking in the WTO Dispute Settlement" (Beijing: Peking University Publishing House, 2007). She teaches at the East China University of Politics and Law and holds the Chinese Lawyer Certificate. She received the French Eiffel Doctoral Scholarship in 2005 and is the British Chevening Scholar. Xu is fluent in English, French, and standard Mandarin.
